In recent years, considerable attention has been directed toward understanding the intricate and multidimensional relationship between the European Union's Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) and export activities from South Asian countries. This paper explores the impact of EU GSP policies on the export and growth performance of South Asian countries, specifically Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka drawing insights from existing literature and empirical evidence. The findings suggest that while the GSP scheme has contributed positively in boosting exports yet growth in India and Pakistan, it has not been successful in promoting exports or growth in Sri Lanka. The paper concludes with a discussion of the policy implications and recommendations for further research in this area.
